The Devaswom of Sree Vayathur Kaliyar invites devotees to the January utsavam of Bythoorappa.

Sree Vayathur Kaliyar stands near Ulikkal on the Kannur–Kodagu path. The Vayathur river rises in Kodagu. Kodagu houses (Mundyodan, Bahuryan, Puggera thakkamae) bring rice on bullocks. Neelakkali Bhagavathi Theyyam is among the rare kaliyaattams of this kshetram. Upadevatas include Ganapathy, Bhoothathan, Ayyappan and Vettakkorumakan.
