Vikram arrives on horseback at the carved gate. The family is already in the outer court. Guests who are inside hear the dhol before they see the horse.

Under the marigold canopy, both families sit close. The pheras are taken in the open sandstone court, not in a closed hall.

What should we wear?
Sherwani, silk, or evening wear in ivory, marigold, or maroon.
Can elders sit through dinner?
Yes. Say so in your reply and a chair will be kept off the open court.
